Mercy Chagara

Tike Mercy Winnie Chagara is a Ugandan Masters student who is exploring how widespread yaws disease caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum pertenue is in the non-human primates of Uganda. She has supported primate darting activities in Kibale National Park, and has recently joined the Uganda Wildlife Authority as a veterinarian based in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
